Health and Well-Being as Human Capital: <\/strong>The Interactions between Parental Health, Children Well-Being and Life Outcomes
\n<\/strong> <\/em><\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Research Group on Human Capital held its second workshop on Friday, April 17, 2015, at the University of Quebec in Montreal. Seven academic researchers presented recent work. The presentations primarily featured empirical research using microeconometric models, with a particular emphasis on questions of identification of causal effects. The workshop was intended to promote discussion and exchanges on the theme of children and parental health and well-being. More specifically, the workshop focused on the formation of health and well-being in the family and investigate the contribution of different public policies to reducing health inequalities in children and their parents. The workshop welcomed not only academics (professors, researchers, grad students), but also administrators and policymakers as well as officials from governmental institutions interested in the well-being of children and their parents.<\/p>\n

The workshop took place at the University of Quebec in Montreal, building Pr\u00e9sident-Kennedy, 201 Pr\u00e9sident-Kennedy Avenue (Place-des-Arts metro station), room PK-1140, from 8:55 AM to 4:30 PM.<\/p>\n
